Virginia CRAVERO, 31 years old – Italy : President of alumni Food ID

Thanks to the Master Food Identity (MFI) degree earned in 2014, within the last three years I could successfully apply to significant jobs related to EU quality schemes for agricultural products. My professional carrier started with the thesis period that allowed me to work as a junior research on the European FP7 project named “Glamur”, a multidimensional performance-based approach assessing global and local food (glamur.eu).

Afterwards, my professional path continued at the World Exposition in Milan 2015 as a brand ambassador for an Italian extra virgin olive oil company, the Coppini Arte Olearia enterprise that, ultimately, permitted me to continue my academic career as a research fellow at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC). There, since the last two years, I am working on a project aiming to increase competitiveness and innovation of local Italian agri-food companies located in the Lombardy region.

Simultaneously, I am working as the MFI student facilitator for the second quarter of the MFI held in Piacenza as well as I am also the current President of the Food Identity Association (FIA) born to establish and maintain an active network between former, current and future students of the “Master Food Identity” formation, as well as with teachers, universities, companies, producers and other institutions involved in the training and in the field of Terroir and quality products.

Undoubtedly, the MFI formation allowed me to fulfill myself professionally.
